The Effects Of What You Eat And Liver Spots

By Rebecca Amika

I:0:JThere is one thing in life that the majority of people dread, yet believe to be inevitable. This would be liver spots. You may also call it age spots. You have probably been brought up thinking there is simply nothing you can do to prevent it. Well, I am here to change your mind today. We have more doctors doing more research today than ever before. Anti-aging is one of the biggest topics in the health and beauty market. Thanks to this one simple fact, we are unable to prevent many unpleasant effects, including age pigments.

Studies from the past decade has taught the world something. Something I want to make more well known. Do you want to know what that is. It is the simple fact that you can prevent age pigments. How? By changing your diet, of course.

What are age spots? Age spots are only a formation of darker pigments in your skin that are made of oxidized unsaturated fats that have lots of iron. By telling you that, you should already know what to do. However, I will not leave it to chance. I am going to tell you how exactly how your diet can effect your looks. I am going to reveal what you should or should not eat to be a much younger and more beautiful looking person in the coming years.

First, as I am sure you gathered from the previous paragraph, we all need to stop with the eating of unsaturated oils. Instead of using vegetable oil, use unheated olive oil. Instead of nut oils, seed oils, or margarine, use butter or coconut oils. Also, animal fats are usually a great choice. Nine times out of ten, the more tasteful the better honestly. That may sound odd but it is the truth. It is crucial that you keep in mind though that if you heat olive oil, it is more prone to becoming oxidized.

Iron is your next enemy. People who consume lots of iron tend to have darker liver spots. A neat little trick to prevent absorbing so much iron that many people do not know is to drink coffee during your major meal times. For some odd reason, coffee slows absorption of iron. This is a great idea if you take multivitamins being as they are almost always overloaded with iron.

Now that you have those basic tips down, you will need to move on to a more advanced step. Balancing out your hormones will greatly reduce liver spot formation in the long term. Increased levels of estrogen cause your body to form age spots quicker, as well as cause you to absorb more iron. That being said you can see how important it is to keep normal hormone levels. Taking the pill will increase estrogen levels in many cases. Other factors that increase estrogen levels in your body are stress, the lack of protein, and improper liver detoxification.

There is another piece of advice for you that will probably catch you off guard. That is that you should probably eat more dark chocolate. Why? Because, dark chocolate joins shellfish and liver in the aspect that all of them are loaded with copper. Keeping a copper rich diet will prevent absorbing too many irons.

The only other tip that I have, as far as your diet is concerned, is to include a larger amount of antioxidants in your daily diet. Antioxidants have the power to prevent free radicals. Free radicals are one of the most common causes of age pigment formation. You can increase your consumption of antioxidants by eating more fresh fruits and vegetables.
